Bright Light City Blackpool Illuminations Charity Road Run... Saturday 8th September 2012
This September something different is happening.............
Lights..... Cars..... People.....
Idyllic scenery.....
.....and a look round a motor museum
Come and join us, a get together of classic car friendly enthusiasts to collect money for local Charity Donna's Dream House enjoying a drive along some of North Wests best country lanes and scenery, one of the UK's smallest toll bridges and views across the River Wyre & Estuary.
A stroll around The lakeland Motor Museum where we can stop for a bite to eat either in their cafe or bring your own lunch and eat it by our cars in a section of car park set aside especially for us.
We will then set off and head for Blackpool, again along some the North Wests best twisty lanes (don't eat too much dinner) pass through Elswick (Home Of Bonds Ice Cream) time permiting it would be wrong not to sample but a few different flavours.
When we arrive back in Blackpool at our original meeting point about 5:30pm we can then grab something to eat from the range of food at the Clifton Arms.
Whilst at the Clifton Arms I will be having my head shaved for our chosen charity Donna's Dream House.
This can be donated to before the event by way of sponsor form or on the day by way of donation in bucket or rattle cans you'll see rattling around throughout the day
Then the Grand finale .....
a trip down the golden mile in glorious technicolour - take in the fantastic laser shows - colourfull light formations & beautifull charactrers brought to life by the magic of light.
All this and helping a great charity bring a little bit of sunshine into these children and their families lives.
This page will be updated when more details are put in place
